Sarchu Padum Trek
Sarchu also called Sir Bhum Chun, a tented camp on Manali Leh highway. It is situated on Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh border. Sarchu is situated between Barlacha-La to the south and Lachung-La to the north at an altitude of 4290 meter. The travelers use this spot as overnight stop because the journey along the Manali Leh highway takes two days due to high passes and variable road conditions. Sarchu is also be used as a start point for the trek into the Zanskar region.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Day 02: Delhi - Chandigarh by Train (4 hrs)
Day 03: Drive Chandigarh - Manali (305 km/ 10 hrs)
Day 04: In Manali
Day 05: Drive Manali – Rohtang la (3978m) – Keylong (128 kms/ 5-6 hrs)
Day 06: Drive Keylong – Keylong Sarai (97 kms / 4-5 hrs) Then Trek to Rabo Chorten (4-5 hrs)
Day 07: Trek Rabo – Khamerup (4-5 hrs)
Day 08: Trek Khamerup – Chumik Marpo (4-5 hrs)
Day 09: Trek Chumik Marpo – Phirtse la (5490m) – Zingchan (7 hrs)
Day 10: Trek Zingchan – Tantse (5/6 hrs)
Day 11: Trek Tantse – Purney (5 hrs)
Day 12: Trek Purney – Phuktal – Purney (5 hrs)
Day 13: Trek Purney – Kalbok – Tsetang (5/6 hrs)
Day 14: Trek Tsetang - Raru (5/6 hrs)
Day 15: Drive Raru – Karcha – Stongde – Padum
Day 16: Drive Padum- Sani – Bardan – Zongkul – Padum
Day 17: Drive Padum - Rangdum - Kargil (245 km/ 09-10 hrs)
Day 18: Drive Kargil – Mulbek – Lamayuru – Alchi – Leh (225 km/ 6-7 hrs)
Day 19: In Leh
Day 20: Sightseeing to Stok Palace, Matho Monastery, Shanti Stupa and Samkar Gompa
Day 21: Full Day Excursion (Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery)
Day 22: Flight Leh to Delhi
Day 23: Departure.
