Spituk Hemis Trek

Spituk Monastery is a Buddhist monastery and located 8 km form Leh Town. The monastery was founded in the 11th century by Od-De, the elder brother of the Lama Chang Chub Od. The monastery founded as a Red Hat institution, the monastery was taken over by the Yellow Hat Sect in the 15 century. Every year the Gustor Festival is held at Spituk from the 27th to 29th day in the eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar.

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Day 02: Flight Delhi - Leh

Day 03: Full Day Sightseeing Leh – Matho – Stok Palace - Shanti Stupa - Samkar

Day 04: Drive Leh – Alchi – Lamayuru – Ulleytokpo (180 kms)

Day 05: Drive Ulleytokpo – Chilling then trek to Skiu (3/4 hrs trek)

Day 06: Trek Skiu – Markha (6/7 hrs)

Day 07: Trek Markha – Hanker – Thachungtse (6 hrs)

Day 08: Trek Thachungtse – Nimaling (4 hrs)

Day 09: Trek Nimaling – Kongmaru-la (5175m) – Shangsumdo (6/7 hrs)

Day 10: Drive Shangsumdo – Hemis – Thiksey – Shey - Leh (58 km)

Day 11: In Leh.

Day 12: Flight Leh - Delhi.

Day 13: In Delhi / Departure

Day 14: Arrive your Home Country
